The Arkansas Council for International Visitors (ACIV) is a nonprofit organization specializing in citizen diplomacy programs and is a member of the National Council for International Visitors.

ACIV works with the Open World Leadership Program to better foreign relations and share knowledge with others. The Open World Program brings young leaders to the U.S. from countries in Eurasia.The goal of The Open World Leadership Program is to  strengthen the democratic process in their countries. Established in 1981, ACIV is one of a national network of 92 non-profits that annually arranges the professional programs of more than 100 international visitors who are guests of the U.S. State Department’s International Leadership Program. The visitors are prestigious individuals including officials, judges, educators,  journalists, lawyers and legislators.

ACIV arranges either Hotel or home stays for visitors who come to Arkansas to learn about things like our education system, government, agriculture and natural disaster relief. Our visitors come from all over the world and look forward to learning about American culture as we learn about theirs. We are always looking for people to Host dinners or even guests over night in their homes as these are perfect opportunities to interact culturally. You are also welcome to accompany guests on appointments or go with them to other activities such as bowling, shopping, to a museum or a movie. Make your home the world’s stage and show our guests southern hospitality or be a part of the professional program they are involved in.
